Our founders started with a dream of developing an agency that could make a positive and measurable impact on people's lives AND be a hub of creative activity for designers, writers and filmmakers of all the talents.
Memet Ali Alabora
Creative Director
Creative Director, Memet, has been at the forefront of arts and creative campaigning for over 25 years, first as an actor and then journalist in his native Turkey. He was instrumental in creating the contemporary performance venue, garjistanbul and in founding the first ever Actors’ Trade Union. His groundbreaking work 'Mi Minör' led to his exile and subsequent relocation to the UK. As the Creative Director of bak, Memet has spearheaded the design approach to campaigns and projects that have mobilised masses (15,000 marchers for Indy for clients AUOB), increased vote share (Wales Green Party), built a global community for International Association of Community Developers and energised the family of football lovers in the UK and Europe with Wal Goch Festival amongst many others. A talented basketball player Memet Ali graced the courts first in Galatasaray, then Beşiktaş and ENKA.
David J. Evans
Creative Producer
David’s written, produced and directed award winning content for broadcast and cinemas all over the world (BAFTA, Prix D’Europe, Royal Television Society, Smiley Charity Film of The Year) and his socially engaged work as a filmmaker, writer and campaigning artist (National Museum of Welsh Life - The Refugee House, Pretty Village) has been seen around the world.
David works on creating distinctive brand narratives and exciting Welsh/English copy and messaging for all of our clients (e.g. The Lycée, Welsh Refugee Council, The Greens, festivals and public sector), often working across different languages and cultures.
David is a passionate rugby, cricket and football fan whose unusual claim to sporting fame is playing for the same club as Pep Guardiola - Sant Pedor (his village side)!
Leïla Mc Lorin
Project Manager
Educated in France, she attended Hypokhâgne before pursuing a Bachelor of Art Dealing and Cultural Mediation at ICART in Paris.
She came to Cardiff after 7 years in Berlin, to work at bak as our project manager. Leïla manages projects and tasks with the creative team and handles client and account relationships (National Theatre Wales, AUOB, Gwyl Wal Goch, Cardiff Transformed, RCT, Lycée Charles De Gaulle). Before joining bak, she worked at N26 in Berlin, a renowned European online bank, where she managed high-end projects, collaborating with Product Membership, AFC, and Compliance, and supporting product launches.
Leila is currently project managing our bilingual campaigns for prestigious French educational institution, The Lycée Charles De Gaulle de Londres.

The teamis constantly searching for new tools and methods to propel them forward on the creative journey. They stay up to date with the latest trends but also look back to design history with deep respect and appreciation.
By placing user experience at the core of their work, Ost creates designs that balance aesthetics and functionality, turning every project into a unique experience.
Siân Adler
Content Creator
Siân Adler is an accomplished content creator and multimedia producer with an extensive background in the digital media industry. With a natural flair for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, she has consistently delivered captivating content that engages audiences and drives results.
During her tenure at bak Creative, Sian has played an instrumental role in developing and executing successful campaigns for various clients, including the Welsh independence movement Yes Cymru, the award-winning feature film Pongo Calling, and the annual Gwyl Wal Goch festival. Each of these projects showcased her ability to blend creativity and technical expertise to produce compelling narratives that resonated with target audiences

Loves making images, whether they are moving or still. His passion is capturing those small everyday moments that can open a door onto much bigger meanings. His visual work blends structure with creativity to bring stories to life. He carries a camera with him everywhere, always looking for inspiration.

Inquisitive, curious and creative. Nature is his thing and and when he’s not hard at work with bak he’s producing short documentaries about his passion. “I love editing, stitching together stories and meaning from individual frames into a satisfying whole. Telling stories through film is absolutely the best way to mobilize viewers, raise awareness, and understand more about the world and its peoples.”
